Redhill Villa – Student Accommodation, Durham

The Redhill Villa development is a bespoke interior design transformation of a multi-occupancy student property in Durham city centre. Located beside Durham Miners’ Hall, the development includes 11 high-quality bedrooms alongside generous kitchen, dining and social spaces, designed to maximise comfort, functionality and communal living.

Challenge
The challenge was to create modern, vibrant and engaging interiors that would appeal to students while still respecting the character and architectural features of the Edwardian property. The design needed to feel contemporary and energetic without competing with the building’s original detailing.

Solution
The interiors were carefully designed to blend modern, elegant furniture with bright, playful colour accents and characterful finishes. Contemporary pieces were introduced in a way that complemented the Edwardian setting, creating a balanced scheme that feels fresh, stylish and welcoming. The result is a cohesive interior that combines comfort, personality and practicality while celebrating the character of the original property.
