Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which our company provides interior design services. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to the terms below.
About Us
Marta Lowell Design is an interior design studio based in Hexham, Northumberland, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean Marta Lowell Design. References to “you” or “the client” mean the individual or organisation engaging our services.
Our Services
We provide interior design services as described in our written proposals, quotations, or agreements. The scope of work, fees, and timescales will be agreed in writing before work begins. Any changes to the agreed scope may affect fees or timings and will be discussed and confirmed in advance.
Fees and Payment
Our fees will be set out clearly in your proposal or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within the stated payment period. We reserve the right to pause work if payments are overdue. Fees for work already carried out are non-refundable.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, timely decisions, and reasonable access to the property where required. Delays in providing instructions, approvals, or access may affect the project timescale, for which we cannot be held responsible.
Design Approvals
All design concepts, drawings, and recommendations must be approved by you before implementation. Once approval has been given, we are not responsible for any additional costs arising from later changes requested by you.
Contractors and Third Parties
Where appropriate, we may liaise with contractors, suppliers, or trades on your behalf. While we take reasonable care when making recommendations or coordinating works, we are not responsible for the performance, workmanship, delays, or contracts of third parties, which remain between you and them.
Intellectual Property
All designs, drawings, documents, and materials produced by Marta Lowell Design remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. They may be used solely for the project for which they were created and not for any other purpose without our prior consent.
Liability
We will carry out our services with reasonable skill and care. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the services provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays or issues arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Cancellation and Termination
Either party may end the agreement by giving written notice. Fees for work completed up to the date of termination will remain payable, and any outstanding invoices must be settled in full.

The content on our website is provided for general information only and may be updated from time to time. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, we make no guarantees that all information is complete or up to date.
